About
Why this site exists
I’m vegan, and I’ve seen what keeps people from it. It is rarely doubt about the animals. It is worry: about their health, and about the people around them. This site is my answer to both.
I’m not a doctor or a dietitian. I’m someone who cares about animals and about health, and who wants to keep learning. Writing this site is how I do that.
How the content is written
- Every health page is drafted from published sources: public health institutes, dietetic associations and official reference values.
- I read and rewrite every page before it goes live.
- Every health page lists its sources at the bottom and shows when its facts were last checked.
- The site is built so that a health page without sources cannot be published. The build refuses it.
This is not medical advice
This site explains general, well-established nutrition. It cannot know your body, your medicines or your history. If you have symptoms, are pregnant, are breastfeeding, or are planning a vegan diet for a child, talk to a doctor or a registered dietitian — and tell them you’re vegan.
